Weathersfield School is seeking an academic math interventionist for students in grades K-6. It is the expectation that the academic interventionist teacher will work with classroom teachers and the administration to plan and provide intervention and remediation to students struggling to meet expected achievement levels.Core responsibilities for this position include working with students to provide intervention in mathematics and working with classroom teachers to support their professional learning regarding methods and materials for how to support all learners in their classrooms. The academic interventionists will work and plan together as a team to provide services to students in the school. Data about students math skills will be the primary driver for the development of plans for academic intervention and support.
The Academic Interventionist is a member of the MTSS team and works closely with the MTSS Coordinator and the SU MTSS team.This district level Academic Interventionist is currently configured to serve the students at Weathersfield School. Ideal candidates are licensable in K-6 General Elementary. An Endorsement in Middle Grades Math (5-9) would be a bonus.EOE
