JOB DESCRIPTION:





The K-12 Recruitment & Staff Recognition Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to attract, recruit, and hire highly qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff across the school district. In addition, this role promotes a positive organizational culture by designing and coordinating staff recognition initiatives that celebrate and value employees' contributions. Together, these efforts support the district's mission to recruit, retain, and recognize outstanding educators and staff who are committed to student success.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




Recruitment & Hiring




Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract diverse and highly qualified candidates for K-12 positions. Coordinate and participate in job fairs, college recruitment events, and community outreach efforts. Build and maintain partnerships with universities, teacher preparation programs, and professional organizations. Manage the applicant tracking system, ensuring timely posting of vacancies and communication with candidates. Collaborate with principals and department leaders to identify staffing needs and recruitment priorities.

Onboarding & Retention Support




Support onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new employees. Assist in implementing retention initiatives, including mentoring and induction programs.

Staff Recognition & Engagement




Develop and coordinate staff recognition programs, awards, and appreciation events (e.g., Teacher/Employee of the Year, service milestones, appreciation weeks). Partner with district leadership to highlight employee achievements through newsletters, social media, and district communications. Organize annual recognition ceremonies, appreciation initiatives, and morale-building activities. Gather employee feedback to improve recognition programs and engagement efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Data & Reporting




Track and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies.

Provide reports on staffing trends, candidate pipelines, and recognition program outcomes.




QUALIFICATIONS:




Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Communications, or related field.

Experience in recruitment, HR, or education (K-12 experience preferred).

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
