POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Technology, the Junior Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration and support of computer systems that are located on premises and in the cloud. The ideal candidate must be equipped and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment.

This is a full-time position based in Simons Foundation\xe2\x80\x99s offices in New York City.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure, deploy, manage and maintain endpoint devices (Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, Windows PCs) using management tools (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, etc.).
• Design, deploy and manage server infrastructure running on Microsoft Windows and Linux.
• Evaluate, implement and manage a wide scope of cloud applications and security tools.
• Perform system and network troubleshooting.
• Lead or participate in multiple projects in accordance with company goals.
• Provide guidance and assistance to the IT support team on escalated requests and contact vendors for support as necessary.
• Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Requirements

• At least 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a mixed Microsoft / Macintosh / Linux environment
• Demonstrated understanding of systems and network protocols (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, etc.)
• Jamf 300 certification or equivalent experience with Jamf Pro MDM
• Proven experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Patient, friendly and willing to find reasonable solutions
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with endpoint and cloud apps security tools
• Experience with Identity and Access Management

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• The full-time annual compensation range for the Junior Systems Engineer position is $85,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $100,000, depending on experience.
• The full-time annual compensation range for the Systems Engineer position is $100,000 \xe2\x80\x93 $120,000, depending on experience.
