Job Summary:

Atlas is seeking a junior construction inspector with prior experience on bridges and roadways for projects in and around New York City. This individual will be performing inspections of the construction activities for the Verrazano Bridge project including concrete and steel work, and involving joint repairs/replacements.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform inspection of contractor\xe2\x80\x99s work to ensure construction activities are in accordance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Perform and/or observe on-site material testing.
• Read and comprehend contract documents (i.e. plans, specifications, shop drawings).
• Provide thorough inspection reports and maintain detailed records of work performed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years construction inspection required
• Bridge construction experience required
• Experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, TBTA or other local agencies preferred
• N-II certification preferred
• OSHA 10 or 30 hour training preferred

Compensation:

$38 - $39 hourly

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state\xe2\x80\x99s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
