Company Overview Our client is one of the main distributors of food, household products and personal care on the Island. He is looking for a Jr. Network Administrator Job Summary As a key member of the Information Systems Department, this position is responsible for all aspects of computer security and network administration, including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software, and office systems. In turn, you must plan, implement, update or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies. You can ensure proper security controls are in place to protect digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. You can respond to computer security breaches and viruses. Responsibilities and Duties

• Install, design and support network components (including backup, security administration, routers, switch workstations, user account management, email systems including email web server, Internet access, office systems and application support) to support and/or integrate new projects.
• Set up work stations, deploy tablets, computers, phones and/or new equipment.
• Maintain hardware, software and server, network and desktop applications.
• Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server role.
• Document network support activities. Define network policies and procedures.
• Evaluate network performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems or for disaster recovery purposes.
• Design deployment hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
• Plan, implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan.
• Install network software, including security advertisement firewall software.
• Manage projects and training according to agreed budgets and schedules.
• Manage the maintenance of the virtual environment on the Nutanix infrastructure.
• Manage maintenance of the virtual environment in Veam Backup Software.
• Able to manage a multi-site installation.
• Maintain backup systems and perform backups on a regular basis.
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and security infrastructure
• Guarantee the security and connectivity of the network.
• Understanding of telecommunication technologies- TDM, IP, VoIP, Ethernet, etc.
• Receive customer calls, report interruptions or problems in their services.
• Work with other team members, department and vendors as needed to ensure everyone is working.
• Demonstrate a high domain in solving the most complex problems within the wireless and telephone line system.
• Conduct emergency response, as needed.
• Analyze data and performance metrics for potential problem areas.
• Assist other technicians as directed by management.
• Assess the nature and level of threats to physical security so that the scope of the problem can be determined.
• Conduct security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities related to physical security or personnel security.
• Monitor current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and run data processing system tests to ensure the operation of data processing activities and security measures.
• Coordinate the implementation of the IT system plan with facility staff and external providers.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Document the policies, procedures and tests of computer security and emergency measures.
• Train others in the computer interface or use of the software.
• Secure the CIA with digital information within the organization. Cia means: Confidentiality, Integrity & Availability.
• Translate risks into business impact.
• Ensure compliance with government and industry regulators.

• Bachelor\'s degree or higher education degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Network and Information Security Administrator.
• Experience in the food and/or distribution industry, preferably.
• One (1) year or more of experience in supervision and personnel management.
