Position Overview
The General Manager / Director of Operations will oversee all daily operations across three retail locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence in service and performance. This role will directly manage store teams, drive sales growth, and help streamline business processes to create a cohesive multi-store operation.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced retail leader (preferably within the jewelry or luxury goods industry) who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on management. This person will serve as the key connection between ownership and store-level operations--setting performance goals, monitoring KPIs, and leading teams to achieve revenue and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee operations and staff across all three retail locations.
Develop, implement, and refine operational processes to ensure smooth cross-location coordination, including inventory rotation and merchandising consistency.
Set and manage sales targets and store performance goals in collaboration with ownership.
Analyze store performance data and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Serve as the primary contact and leader for all store managers and sales teams.
Partner with internal and external advisors (including financial and business consultants) to ensure profitability and long-term sustainability.
Support hiring, training, and performance management of approximately 8 direct reports.
Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centered excellence.
Assist in strategic expansion efforts, including the opening of new retail locations.
Collaborate closely with bench jewelers and in-store staff to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in retail management, preferably in fine jewelry or luxury retail.
Proven success in overseeing multiple locations or large teams.
Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, forecasting, and operations management.
Experience creating and implementing store-level processes and performance tracking.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel regularly between Missouri and Kentucky locations.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $100,000-$175,000 (based on experience).
