The Olson Baking Company is a leading manufacturer of Frozen Baked Goods for Grocery Stores all over the US. We are seeking Sanitor/Equipment Cleaners with high energy ready to assume full responsibility for the detailed cleaning care of our facilities. Our bakery operates up to 24hrs/7 days a week and we have three shifts for Janitors. Day shift, Mid-Day shift and the Night shift.

Our ideal candidate is reliable and works well in a busy environment alongside the rest of our Sanitation Team. Janitors will perform sanitation/cleaning and coordinate all cleaning tasks with production schedules to ensure minimal equipment down time and will clean all bakery equipment and surfaces according to standards set by Olson's Baking Company and the food manufacturing industry.

Daily temperature and O2 checks Maintaining 6 feet for social distancing All unvaccinated individuals on site are required to wear a face mask Thorough cleanings multiple times a day Making sure everyone is washing and sanitizing their hands

DUTIES:

Perform the cleaning of surfaces (floors, ceilings, equipment, ect.) in the entire bakery including internal parts and surfaces of machinery and equipment.

Dispose of bakery waste and scraps in designated areas

Use a variety of cleaning tools such as mops, buckets, vacuums, brooms, air pressure devices and pressure washers during the normal course of a work shift.

Work in a safe manner always

Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work in a high temperature environment supporting fast paced machinery.

Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.

Must have ability to work thoroughly with attention to detail to meet food safety sanitation standards.

Must be able to work efficiently to meet task completion requirements during equipment down time.

Must be able to work any day, including holidays, or any shift.

Must have reliable attendance to meet employer's attendance standards for 24/7 production facility.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and performing deep cleaning as needed. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Utilize proper cleaning techniques and equipment to achieve optimal results in both commercial and residential settings. Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.

Experience

Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable. Experience in commercial cleaning, residential painting, or industrial cleaning will be considered an asset. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial for this role. Porter experience is a plus for candidates looking to enhance their skill set within the janitorial field.
