VIKING TOURS OF NEWPORT: IN SEARCH OF PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF JANITORIAL OR CUSTODIAL DUTIES Viking Tours of Newport is looking for a Full Time custodian for our busy 2023 season. Custodian would be responsible for the overseeing of maintaining clean vehicles as well as a clean garage facility. Competitive wages offered. This is an immediate opening. For over 60 years, Viking Tours of Newport has set the standard for tour and transportation services in Rhode Island and the surrounding area. With a large fleet of vehicles, Viking Tours of Newport specializes in a wide array of charter services including corporate events, private tours, rehearsal dinners and wedding day transportation. DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- A valid drivers License
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and when/how to use them
- Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with cleaners
- Ability to clean and disinfect surfaces on board vehicles such as sweep & mop floors, cleaning windows and seating, shining brass on board and garbage removal
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds & standing for long periods of time
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Maintain an inventory of necessary items and placing orders when needed
- Self motivated with minimal supervision
- Assist with mechanical duties when needed. Knowledge of mechanics helpful but not required.
- Vehicle detailing experience helpful but not required \xe2\x80\x93 attention to detail is required
- On the job training will be provided
