Job Responsibilities

**This is Hybrid telecommuting position.**

Under general supervision, acts as senior IT team member, assists with the administrative functions of the ITS Operation Section; provides technical leadership for telecommunications /videoconferencing issues and projects. Provides support to the operations of the complex computer operations environment; installs, configures and troubleshoots computer hardware and software, printers and network connectivity, leads testing and documentation initiatives. Provides technical assistance and guidance to users in the applications of new and existing equipment. Assists in the support, testing, designing, implementation and maintenance of the network and infrastructure.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor\'s degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor\'s degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor\'s degree and two (2) years\' experience in information technology systems or related fields. Knowledge of information or telecommunication network services and data communications. Knowledge of methods of information or telecommunication network design. Knowledge of information processing and fiber optics. Knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques. Ability to train, direct and coordinate work of a small team. Ability to present technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to establish effective working relationships with vendors, management staff and users. Knowledge of Poly videoconferencing equipment.
