is looking for an experienced

IT Helpdesk Technician

to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of the IT Helpdesk Technician is to provide user support to correct technical problems as assigned and supervised by IT Management. This position will perform maintenance, installations and upgrades to company-wide system software and hardware. The Helpdesk Technician will work closely with the entire IT Team.

Responsibilities:




Responds to telephone calls, e-mail, and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem thoroughly and accurately to ensure a timely resolution. Identify, research, analyze, and resolve a high percentage of employee's technical computer related problems. Escalate, accurately and in a timely manner, problems requiring on-site hardware or configuration changes. Demonstrates superior customer care skills, interpersonal communication, and excellent oral, written, typing and telephone skills. Must maintain an up to date understanding of various Internet technologies (http/ftp protocols, web serving, email). Ability to be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis. Ability to prioritize tasks to best meet departmental and organizational goals. Ability to maintain own workflow and meet pre-established deadlines. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications:




Bachelor's or associate degree in a Technical/Scientific discipline or equivalent experiences is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in an IT Technical Support function, or relevant combination of education and experience in lieu of a college degree is accepted.
