We are looking for a dynamic IT Help Desk individual to join our team in a manufacturing business that is global. This position will be onsite at our location in the Little Rock Port area. Successful candidate must be able to prioritize, be able to work on multiple projects and be a team player.
Job Summary: Under general supervision, provide technical software, hardware, and network problem resolution to all computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by step solutions in a call center environment; clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; assist with network related issues; troubleshoot network printer problems; conduct hardware and software maintenance and reporting; and perform related work as required
Responsibilities: (These are not all inclusive)
Operate dynamic fast moving environment - troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of end user systems
Assist in maintaining backups, systems and upgrading of service packs
Maintain office hardware and user support including printers, faxes, copiers, telephone systems and all peripherals
Train new and existing users on company software, applications and telephone systems
Setup/Install new hardware such as desktops, laptops, servers, network hardware
Managing Domain Accounts such as adding/deleting user accounts
Managing Organization's email system
The schedule for this role is predominantly during business hours on Monday through Friday. Some weekend and after-hours work will be a required part of the schedule
Ensure uptime of all the computer systems
All the help desk tickets should be responded within the time line specified in SOP
Note: Additional responsibilities not listed here may be assigned at times.
Education/Experience:
Two to four years of progressive experience in a help desk environment PREFERRED
Excellent written and oral skills sufficient to communicate effectively with non-technical and technical business users
Outstanding customer and interpersonal skills
Hands-on experience with MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task within tight deadlines; excellent organizational skills; self-directed and results/goal oriented
Associate Degree in technical field or equivalent experience Preferred; will consider high school diploma only (with on the job experience)
