JOB DESCRIPTION: Compile, interpret data, and gather documents such as purchase orders, mill invoices, bills of lading, and shipping advice to invoice customers and final orders (post margin gain/loss). *Heavy data entry \xe2\x80\x93 high volume. *Prepare, calculate, and data key accurate and timely customer invoices by listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms, cash discount, and ship dates. *Prepare and data key accurate debit and credit memos for items billed incorrectly. *Keep management informed of orders that cannot be invoiced on a daily basis. *Work with traders and staff to ensure customers are invoiced as soon as shipment can be verified. *Track and monitor truck dispatches daily to determine which can be invoiced. *Call suppliers for product tallies on shipments not invoiced, late shipments, etc. *Review emailed customer invoices to verify successful transmission. *Verify tally invoiced to customer matches mill tally. *Resolve variances between mill purchase order and mill invoice by working with buyers. *Approve mill cost to be posted to accounts payable along with other costs relative to the transaction (i.e. freight, interest, rebate, tax, etc.). *Compare margin finaled with estimated margin to verify accuracy in accounting for and calculating cost. Inquire with traders on variances and work to resolve. *Distribute margin between buyer and seller according to transaction type. JOB REQUIREMENTS: *Attention to detail is critical. *Accurate and speedy data entry. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: *Daily and monthly reporting of key metrics to management. *Daily reconciling of systems, research and resolve variances. *Ad-hoc tasks and projects will be assigned as appropriate.
