This Opportunity
Due to our growth, we have 2 openings for talented and detail oriented part-time individuals to join our team and fill the role of Inventory Specialist located at our Louisville, Colorado location (this is NOT a remote position). We anticipate about 15 hours a week. These positions will report to the Lab Operations Manager, and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continued growth of Orion Space Solutions\xe2\x80\x99 lab and engineering resources.
Your Impact

  • Consolidate the key administrative functions necessary to lab inventory operations
  • Keep the lab stockroom clean, organized, safe, and up to date
  • Track tools and components using an inventory control system
  • In concert with Lab Stockroom Upkeep, function as the procurement point of contact for lab/engineering needs when necessary
  • Support the quality management of Assembly and Testing of space systems electronic components, sub-assemblies, products, and mechanical devices and equipment as directed by Lab Operations Manager
  • The responsibilities of this position fall under the following categories: Lab Inventory Management, Procurement

Essential Responsibilities
Lab Inventory Upkeep and Organization (85%)
  • Manage, Maintain and Streamline (where available) Lab Inventory System such as inventory issuing and kitting.
  • Maintain Lab Documents/Certification and other Quality build documentation as requested
  • Keep Lab Stockroom safe, organized and clean
  • Conduct quarterly inventory counts
  • Support lab equipment and capability improvements as required
  • Support lab space usage and assignments as needed
  • Process outgoing and incoming shipments as needed
  • Receiving inventory and storage as required
  • Additional administrative tasks as directed by Lab Operations Manager and A,I&T Director

Procurement (15%)
  • Review supply requests
  • Process requests through procurement system
  • Order and/or facilitate sourcing of approved requisitions for Engineering/Lab division
  • Maintain proper process documentation
  • Maintain relationship & accounts with regular vendors
    • Sourcing, quoting, and distribution of status updates
    • Returns

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 0-4 years related experience
  • Able to lift 35lb
  • Team player
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance as required
