The internal communications manager creates content for all internal communications vehicles to ensure alignment and consistency of message, utilizing current and emerging technologies, while protecting Dollar General\xe2\x80\x99s brand messaging and culture. The internal communication manager will be responsible for ensuring all internal communication goals and strategies are met and help maintain a favorable image of our mission, Serving Others. This individual represents the organization and a serves as a model of our culture.

  • Research and create content for employee communication platforms including: DGme, DGTV, Town Hall presentations, memos, posters, flyers, brochures and handouts:
    • Develop analytic measurements to gauge and calibrate the effectiveness of communication delivery vehicles and messaging
    • Monitor employee communication platforms to ensure consistency in message and branding
    • oBuild strong business partners and cultivate internal network to execute timely and relevant employee communication (Store Operations, HR, IT, Merchandising and Supply Chain)
    • Coordinate DGTV upgrades, create and update screens as assigned and schedule maintenance
    • Update web content, as needed
    • Develop and implement integrated internal communications programs, as assigned, that increase brand awareness, foster business acumen and drive alignment with executive vision and priorities
  • Develop and evolve effective and efficient communication vehicles to foster inclusion and employee engagement
  • Other Duties, as assigned
    • Create and maintain biographies for all vice presidents and above for use internal/external
    • Execute when appropriate, employee communication campaign time/action plans
    • Create meeting schedules and agenda for communications projects
    • Coordinate casting and logistics for still photo and video shoots
    • Develop shot list and execute still photo and video shoots
    • With direction, draft executive communication talking points, organizational announcements, e-newsletters, editorials and other employee media collateral
    • Coordinate logistics for employee town halls and other employee events
    • Secure photographers and other third-party AV service providers for employee events, as needed
    • Research and develop briefs on emerging internal communication issues/crisis as directed.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to engage others, develop and maintain effective networks, promote a positive image
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem solver and collaborative team player
  • Ability to coach, educate and provide direction of internal communication processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of media monitoring databases, services and reporting
  • Proficient in Associate Press Style
  • Self-directed, multi-tasker with attention to details
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in journalism, corporate communications, public relations or related field is required.
  • 3-5 years work experience.
