What this job is about:
Within OFM, our Data Movement and Integration Team designs, manages, and implements data and application integration solutions for all aspects of OFM, and other statewide customers. As an integrations Developer (IT Application Development - Journey), you\'ll have the technical authority for designing and building statewide enterprise application and data integration solutions from an enterprise perspective.

You\'ll also actively support the OFM Data Movement and Integration Team and state enterprise integration initiatives to define and ensure standards are created, maintained, understood and followed. This includes developing integration workflows in, but not limited to, Informatica PowerCenter, DIH (Data Integration Hub), IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services), and other workflow development environments.

Duties

What you\'ll do:
  • Develop application and data integration solutions; integrating state enterprise mission critical applications data such as AFRS, HRMS, data warehouses etc. and create standard and non-standard interfaces that may support OneWa ERP/Workday implementations.
  • Develop code to integrate data between disparate applications built on different platforms and technologies and builds integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, DIH, and IICS.
  • Create scripts in a variety of scripting languages such as MS Batch, Python, and VBscript.
  • Write and maintain code in multiple languages for web services (SOAP and REST) and APIs allowing other agency systems to access statewide data stores.
  • Translate application requirements into functioning code for application integration.
  • Use SQL to code to build and modify database objects that support application integration solutions; build web service definition language (WSDL) documents.
  • Apply standardized release management procedures to plan, schedule, test and implement deployments of data and application integration solutions.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and support of the agency\'s enterprise integration solutions.
  • Conduct real-time root cause analysis in response to production issues, applying application coding and troubleshooting skills and experience in various tools and disciplines.
  • Analyze and document existing and proposed application integration standards, best practices, integration definitions, and business rules.
  • Design, support and develop against the statewide integration platform.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer science or related area (Mathematics, Engineering, Database Design). Please Note: Additional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
  • Three (3) years of experience in:
  • Developing applications and/or workflows in a modern language (Java, .Net, etc.) or developing solutions in a middleware environment (Informatica, MQ).
  • Development of scripts/programs that interact with SQL Server or other SQL-based database systems.
  • Data architecture, database management, data and application integration solutions, and/or data quality.
  • Demonstrable understanding of IICS and how communication flows in a web environment.
  • Current working experience in Server and Web-services dominated environments. This would include a demonstrable understanding of IIS and how communication flows in a web environment.
Desired:
  • Experience engineering data and application integration solutions for enterprise systems.
  • Experience in enterprise systems and integration technologies and methods.
