You have an exciting opportunity to join The Brook Hosptial KMI team as an Insurance Precertification Specialist (PRN).

• The hours for this position will vary, the current hours needed are 32 \xe2\x80\x93 40 hours weekly.

Position details:

• The Insurance Precertification Specialist is responsible for contacting insurance companies and government benefit authorities to obtain pre certification for treatment services.
• Responsibilities also include working in systems to show authorized days for treatment.
• These functions include collaboration with Intake, Business Office, and Outpatient services, and may require attendance in meetings to report on and facilitate business operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year of related experience in a medical setting.
• Needs to have a general knowledge of inpatient services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field is required.
