This position will partially be based in the following office location. Manchester, NH

However, partial remote work from the following states may also be considered: Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont.

The Opportunity

The Instructional Support Consultant reports directly to Manager, Instructional support, and works with students and faculty to promote and promote the appropriate use of technology across the university, especially in the curriculum. This will be accomplished by developing and delivery of technical training, conducting individual consultations, needs assessments, and training sessions and research to investigate new technologies and software. You will assist students and faculty with the appropriate use of academic technologies including Brightspace, Chalk & Wire, and Office 365. #Hybridwork.

In this Role You\'ll Get To:

  • You will develop and deliver training (group, 1 to 1, online) on multiple academic technologies for students. Also develop facilitator guides, student guides, handouts.
  • You will provide technical consultation to students and faculty. Assist students and faculty with Brightspace user and technical issues. Assist Instructional Support Consultants with Brightspace technical support when needed.
  • You will maintain instructional support portal site.
  • You will maintain instructional support documentation repository in OneNote.
  • You will develop student facing academic technology training program.
  • You will provide initial support for walk-ins requesting help.
  • You will foster positive working relationships with students and faculty to promote technology and instructional support.
  • You will manage work study students including training and scheduling.
  • You will perform related responsibilities as assigned or as the situation dictate.
  • You will perform academic technology needs assessments.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned. Job responsibilities can change at any time, with or without notice.
We would like to see:
  • Years of relevant or specific experience: Two to four years\' experience in the delivery of training in a corporate or academic environment.
  • Academic Degree(s) and/ areas of study: Bachelor\'s degree
Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree acceptable: \xe2\x98\x92 Yes
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master\'s Degree.
  • Teaching or training experience in higher education is desirable.
