The Role





As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in expanding Quartz IP's reach by identifying, researching, and connecting with qualified prospects at leading law firms. You will be responsible for initiating the first conversation -- building interest, qualifying prospects, and scheduling introductory calls with our Sales team.



This role requires confidence on the phone, professionalism in written communication, and a thoughtful, research-driven approach. You will be engaging with high-level attorneys, operations leaders, and IP professionals, while working closely with Marketing on ICP definition, scripts, and outreach playbooks.



This position reports to the Sales Manager and collaborates closely with Marketing and Account Executives to ensure a consistent, high-quality pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities




Identify and research prospective law firms that align with our target client profile. Initiate contact with key decision-makers through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn. Clearly communicate Quartz IP's value proposition and generate interest in an initial conversation. Qualify prospects based on firm size, patent activity, and potential fit. Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings for the Sales team. Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities, notes, and status updates in the CRM. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on messaging, campaigns, and outreach strategies. Provide feedback to improve prospect targeting, scripts, and qualification criteria. Consistently meet goals for outreach, meetings set, and qualified opportunities generated.



Requirements




3-4 years of experience in quota-driven inside sales, business development, or a client-facing role. Proven ability to engage prospects via phone and email in a professional, confident, and persistent manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research and organizational abilities with attention to detail. Comfortable using SaaS sales tools (CRM platforms, Apollo, LinkedIn Navigator, etc.). Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship. Self-motivated and driven to perform in a fast-paced, remote environment.



Nice-to-Haves




Experience selling or prospecting into law firms, legal tech, or B2B SaaS sales. Familiarity with sales methodologies (BANT, SPIN, MEDDIC, etc.). Experience with automation tools for lead management or outreach.
