Injection Mold Machine Operator is responsible for setting up , operating, and monitoring injection molding machines to ensure efficient and safe production. Duties include inspecting parts to specifications, making adjustments or tool changes as needed, and resolving minor component or quality issues to maintain consistent product standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Operates machines to ensure continuous production at a constant rate of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials throughout the entire shift and performing basic adjustments to ensure safe and efficient production of products.
Perform in-process inspections of parts throughout the manufacturing run and ensure they meet visual standards of acceptance.
Responsible for producing parts in the proper quantity as identified by the production schedule.
Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup.
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
Perform operational procedures to ensure the quality of the product packaged.
Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
Report material utilization in the production report.
Ensure daily production report data is reported correctly and up to date.
Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions.
Identify the proper tooling required for pending production.
Inspect the condition of molds and component parts for damage and wear.
Inspect machine, conveyer and tools in department and notify Lead that a maintenance repair form is needed, or replacement tools are required.
Keeping work cell, department, and fire-doors clear of trash and other obstructions that could hinder department performance/safety.
Maintain condition of work area to meet 5-S standards.
Communicate with team members and support teams.
Maintain professional attitude offering support to Leads, Supervisors and Manager.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist whenever and in whatever capacity needed to ensure continuous production at a constant rate of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials throughout the entire shift.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
Prior experience operating manufacturing, packaging, and process control equipment required
Thermoform, Injection Mold, Douglas, ARPAC, ZED, or related machine operator experience preferred.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
