Sentara Home Care Services - Chesapeake is now seeking an Infusion Pharmacy Coordinator!

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am -4:30pm and 9:30am - 6:00pm.

**THIS IS A ROTATING SHIFT THAT WILL CHANGE WEEKLY**

This position is administrative and will consist of answering phones, processing medication refills, work with intake to process new referrals, calling patients for supply needs and working with the delivery team to set up deliveries for patients. You will work directly with other technicians and pharmacists to complete refills and referrals.

Qualifications:

• HS- High School Grad or Equivalent required
• 1 year experience in an acute care environment required
• Licensed with the Commonwealth of VA Board of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician required
• 6 months of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• PTCB or NHA preferred

Acts as liaison between homecare coordinators, central intake department, and pharmacy department. Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders for pharmacist review. Collaborates with clinical pharmacists in patient outcomes management process. Coordinates patient deliveries with the daytime scheduler coordinator. Provides technical support in all aspects of pharmacy operations to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy. Pharmacy Technician applicants must have High school education and one of the following: one (1) year experience in a health care environment; six (6) months of retail pharmacy experience; enrollment in a pharmacy technician training program; or enrollment in or completion of a pharmacy school or health sciences, life sciences or program of studies leading to an Associates in Science degree. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia
