Collects, analyzes, and documents vital signs in EHR Provides education and support to Infusion Center patients Initiates, maintains, and monitors patient IV's Administers medications Mixes medications Monitors patients for signs and symptoms of a medication reaction and responds appropriately Documents medications given to include drug name, dose, route, lot number and expiration date in EHR Triages telephone calls





Minimum Qualifications




Current, unencumbered licensure to practice as a registered nurse, in the state of Ohio Prior experience working with chronically ill populations preferred, but not required Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification compliant with the American Heart Association. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification Previous experience in an infusion center preferred, but not required Must be proficient at typing on a keyboard Previous experience using electronic medical records desirable, but not required Must have a general understanding of the appropriate disposal of hazardous waste materials such as blood, sharps, etc. as outlined in the OSHA manual

Physical Demands/Working Conditions




Associate must be able to assist patients with disabilities, including assistance with wheelchairs, assisting patients that need help walking, dressing, and those needing assistance to get on and off examination tables Associate will be scheduled based on operational/patient need Associate will be required to work for extended periods at a computer Associate may be exposed to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues
