Sr. Advisor\xe2\x80\x93 Information Protection

This position will engage with a team of highly skilled security professionals, committed to embedding security guidance and requirements into enterprise processes. The Sr. Advisor will provide knowledge, expertise, and best practices around security guidance while leading project execution and a portfolio of strategic security initiatives.

Position Summary:

The Senior Advisor \xe2\x80\x93 Information Protection will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer of eviCore, which resides in the Cigna Information Protection organization. This position will help execute the strategic project portfolio, define security roadmaps, identify and execute special projects and translate security guidance into business consumable goals. The Sr. Advisor will provide knowledge, expertise, and best practices for security governance.

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Oversee execution of strategic security projects across all security domains

\xc2\xb7 Track and engage with external security partners to ensure the companies external security grading remains consistent and exemplary

\xc2\xb7 Define security roadmaps translating security governance into actionable objectives, goals, and projects

\xc2\xb7 Evolve the model for the security governance helping drive the partner engagement model while identifying current gaps and driving resolution of action plans

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with platform owners and partners to improve the overall security of eviCore

\xc2\xb7 Provide escalation point for resolving customer issues and concerns

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with key business stakeholders to raise awareness on security requirements

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate security maturity assessments and drive actionable plans to raise maturity

Qualifications:

A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, information systems, information protection (information security), or a related Technology field is preferred

Masters in information systems, computer science or MBA is preferred

Minimum of 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in information security or information technology with a preferred focus in strategic project execution

Experience with industry standard compliance frameworks including HITRUST and NIST preferred

Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, tools and methodologies in the security industry

Previous experience as an IT Architect, Security project manager, or security portfolio lead preferred

Understanding of common software security issues and remediation techniques (OWASP Top 10, SANS 25, etc.)

Collaborative approach; experienced in communication, organization, presentation, leadership, coaching, and problem solving

A fundamental knowledge of security principles and risk management frameworks with a proven ability to apply that knowledge to achieve risk management outcomes

Require excellent oral and written communication skills to convey plans, assessment outcomes, and remediation activities.

Must be able to interface with managers and staff (technical & non-technical) at all levels within the organization and build partnerships

Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions

Strong and well-developed skills in making independent decisions

\xc2\xb7High flexibility and adaptability are required
