Industrial Painter

As a painter, you will be a critical part of our remanufacturing process, responsible for applying high-quality industrial coatings to our "Better than New" equipment. Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation:
Prepare a variety of metal surfaces and weldments for painting, including cleaning, degreasing, sanding, grinding, and masking.
Paint Application:
Operate spray painting equipment (e.g., HVLP, conventional spray guns, pressure pots) to apply industrial primers, polyurethane, and epoxy coatings according to specifications.
Mixing and Matching:
Accurately mix paints, primers, and other coatings to the correct consistency and color.
Quality Control:
Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure a high-quality finish, free of defects.
Production Goals:
Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly production schedules, as painting is a critical step in our operational workflow.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and clean all painting equipment, including spray guns, pumps, and the paint booth.
Safety and Housekeeping:
Adhere to all RCL Safety Policies and Procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Proven experience as an Industrial Painter, Automotive Painter, or similar role in a manufacturing or commercial environment.
Knowledge of surface preparation techniques for metal and steel.
Experience with spray painting equipment and techniques.
A positive, team-player mindset with a strong work ethic.
Reliable and punctual, with a history of excellent attendance.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as production demands require.
Preferred (Bonus Points):
Experience with
plural component paint systems
and other industrial paint systems.
Experience applying epoxy and polyurethane coatings.
Familiarity with paint booth operations and maintenance.
Knowledge of aviation or heavy equipment painting standards.
