Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical systems. This role requires proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and HVAC systems. The Mechanical Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose and resolve operational problems. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance. Utilize schematics to understand system layouts and identify areas for improvement or repair. Operate scissor lifts safely to perform maintenance tasks at various heights. Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on customer service needs related to mechanical systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Assist in welding tasks as needed, including welding techniques. Provide field service support when required, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication.

Experience

Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician within a manufacturing environment. Strong background in mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, electrical experience (high voltage and low voltage), and industrial electrician experience. Familiarity with HVAC systems and HVAC/R principles is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals effectively. Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
