The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and manages the plant's mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment needs and requirements. Provides effective leadership of maintenance team. This position oversees a team of 7 to 8 maintenance technicians and electrical/instrument technicians. Builds and maintains a high performing team. Ensures efficient organization of maintenance work tasks to minimize plant down time. Maintains a proactive safety, health and environmental system that meets the required standard and legal requirements when performing maintenance. Plans, directs and executes needed preventative maintenance for all industrial equipment. Oversees and manages the purchasing of maintenance inventory and supplies. Overall responsibility for the timeliness, completeness and quality of maintenance activities. Ability to trouble shoot and find cost-effective solutions. Provides on the ground support to the maintenance team. Project management (direct and indirect) support. Provides guidance and leadership regarding troubleshooting and resolution. Leads and performs Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance. Supervises and repairs Electrical Systems, Electrical Instruments and Control Systems. Responsible for enhancing Reliability - Asset Integrity. Effectively utilize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including SAP. Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Endure proper documentation of maintenance changes and procedures. Implement an effective development plan for Maintenance Department employees. Monday through Friday work hours with additional on-call responsibilities. Serves as the first call from the Maintenance staff for after-hours emergencies. Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including maintenance supervision experience
Strong adherence to company-wide safety program
Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and instrumentation experience
Ability to respond in a timely manner to all afterhours maintenance and repair requirements. Serve as first call from Maintenance employees after work hours
Experienced in PLC applications
Experience in the areas of planning and purchasing
Experience in continuous improvement projects and foundational skills
Ability to work in all-weather environments
Strong communication and decision-making abilities
Comfortable utilizing maintenance software and MS Office applications
Preferred:
6+ years of industrial maintenance leadership
Ability to weld, torch, light fabrication strongly preferred
Engineering reliability centered maintenance experience and expertise
Prior experience in heavy/large plant volume and equipment
Effective project management experience
Lean Manufacturing experience utilizing 6 sigma
Thorough knowledge of a maintenance planning system using an ERP based platform, preferably SAP
OSHA regulations
