Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene Specialist to add to our team in Plainville, CT. Key Responsibilities:

• Collect PCM and TEM air samples as required by various regulatory agencies
• Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors.
• Prepare project chain of custody
• Prepare project daily logs
• Interact between client and contractors
• Work with regulatory agencies
• Frequently travel throughout Connecticut
• Prepare written reports documenting project activities and air clearance results

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a science-related field
• Valid Connecticut Asbestos Inspector License
• 2-4 years of related work experience
• Connecticut Asbestos Project Monitor Certification required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness and ability to regularly work in the field and outdoors. Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Off-hours work may also be required
• Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination to include a respirator clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER
• Successful completion of the NIOSH-582 Course or equivalent
• Updated Fit Test and Medical Testing documents
• Prior enrollment in the Asbestos Analyst Registry with experience reading air clearances on-site
