**ECL Level Based on Experience**

Job Summary

Provides industrial engineering support for the development, and production of new and current manufactured vehicles within assigned area at NNA manufacturing plants. Communicates with, manufacturing team, engineering, maintenance and other support groups to propose and implement countermeasures for efficiency, safety, and quality concerns within assigned area. Assists manufacturing plants in identifying cost saving opportunities within manpower and processes as well as improving efficiency and quality. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Job Functions

Performs manpower calculations for assigned area to verify that manufacturing is properly staffed.

Conducts time studies for processes within assigned area. Maintains data within rebalance system and analyzes results for proper line balance. Works with the Manufacturing team to adjust allocations accordingly.

Conducts process improvement studies and activities to ensure the manufacturing jobs have efficient process flow and no quality or safety concerns exist.

Studies Global Operator Sheets to understand proper installation process for parts and develops standard times based on drawings. If improvement is identify for the installation of a given part, works with Process Engineering to confirm new process meets standard requirements and assist in any trials needed of new process.

Meets and communicates regularly with manufacturing teams to discuss any and all concerns related to staffing, process improvements, line speed adjustments, quality, safety, and material flow.

Supports New Model development by working with Engineering and New Model Teams to create efficient job allocations and line balancing prior to any New Model launch.

Conducts capacity studies on equipment throughout assigned area and communicates findings with the Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Process Engineering Teams.

Performs calculations to determine line speeds and process takt times to meet schedule requirements. Works with various teams to make adjustments as needed.

Works collaboratively with other IE members and the Manufacturing team to identify opportunities for reductions, develop plans, and implement plans in order to achieve reduction targets.

Develop and propose cost saving ideas.

As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Minimum Qualifications

The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.

Job Knowledge and Skill:

Must meet requirements for MR2 level or possess equivalent experience. Complete knowledge of assigned areas. High knowledge of vehicle structure and assembly methods. Diverse manufacturing and vehicle design knowledge. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to analyze and interpret dimensional layout data. Knowledge of federal motor vehicle safety standards, and Nissan important A or B system.

Experience:

Three to five years of related experience at a professional level.

Education:

A four-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Engineering Technology.

Computer Skills:

Thorough computer knowledge such as word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day to day situations.
