As an HVAC Apprentice, you play an integral role in creating quality apartments for our residents to call home for years to come. You will work with our team in new construction, building apartments from the ground up.

We do our own HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and finish carpentry work with our own staff. HVAC work includes, but is not limited to, installing ductwork, mini splits, magic-paks, appliances, etc. To be successful in this role you must be reliable, detail oriented, and communicate effectively. Exceptional candidates are those who are driven, love to work hard alongside their team, have excellent leadership skills, and are dedicated to teaching others.

• Journeyman - $48.00/hr.
• Apprentice 4 - $40.00/hr.
• Apprentice 3 - $34.00/hr.
• Apprentice 2 - $28.00/hr.
• Apprentice 1 - $23.00/hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In-unit rough-in - installing exhaust pipe/fans, steel framing/cutting.
• Installing Unit Ductwork - supply and return.
• Installing Magic Paks.
• Installing GRDs - (Grilles, registers, & diffusers).
• Proficient with power and hand tools.
• Experience working with sheet metal ductwork and pipe.

Requirements:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Proficient in using tools such as saws, tin snips & shears, drills, voltage tester, etc.
• Understanding of combustion gas systems and heat exchangers
• Understanding of refrigeration systems
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds as needed
• Comfortable with ladders & heights

• Must work well in a team environment yet be able to work independently when necessary
• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and working on multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Basic hand tools include: tin snips, hammer, tape measure, tool bucket/box, drill, bar folder, etc.
