Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our Human Resources team as a:
Human Resources Generalist
Are you an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Do you enjoy building relationships, driving initiatives, and supporting employees and leaders at every level? If so, this opportunity may be for you. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our people and our plant by supporting all areas of HR, from recruiting and payroll to employee relations, training, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:

• Partner with the HR Manager to deliver a full range of HR services, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and employment legislation while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards.
• Support and coach managers and supervisors in performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
• Coordinate training programs, employee orientation, and ongoing development initiatives to strengthen workforce capability.
• Manage HR data and reporting, maintain employee personnel records, and ensure accuracy of payroll and benefits.
• Lead or contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives within HR and the wider business.
• Assist with Health & Safety efforts in partnership with the site Safety Coordinator.
• Support a positive workplace culture and help maintain a union-free environment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; CHRP, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive HR experience with strong generalist background; at least 1 year payroll experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, workplace safety regulations, and HR best practices.
• Experience in benefits administration, compensation, employee relations, and training.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations and manage multiple priorities.
• JHSC certification is an asset.
