We are actively recruiting for a Human Resources Director to work with our PACE team. This position requires a dynamic individual, who enjoys working in an environment that encourages developing relationships with our participants and their caregivers, where a team focused approach to care is the cornerstone of our organization.

Job Summary

The Human Resource (HR) Director will oversee and manage all aspects of HR for PACE of Southwest Michigan (PACE). Work closely with pertinent leaders in all departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support HR solutions for all aspects of the organization. Ensures effectiveness of HR department and compliance with laws and regulations. Responsible for a positive, mission-driven culture at PACE.

Key Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Provide the overall direction, coordination, evaluation, coaching, and development of HR staff to ensure effectiveness of HR team.

\xc2\xb7 Establish and implement short and long-range HR goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure organizational compliance with employment related rules and regulations. Coordinate the use of legal and professional resources as necessary to ensure compliance with FMLA, Worker\'s Compensation and more.

\xc2\xb7 Develop budget for HR Department, ensure compliance with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives, and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for HR spending and initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Direct and monitor recruiting and onboarding functions for the organization to ensure optimization of onboarding process, orientation, system enhancements, etc. to attract and retain top talent.

\xc2\xb7 Builds processes that ensure high retention rate and job satisfaction for employees.

\xc2\xb7 Review staff compensation levels and recommend adjustments as necessary to recognize employee\'s job duties and performance while meeting budget targets and staying competitive in the market.

\xc2\xb7 Establish and maintain a positive, mission-driven culture.

\xc2\xb7 Administer the employee benefit programs, in collaboration with CEO/CFO. Ensure benefit programs are competitive in the market, cost effective, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

\xc2\xb7 Direct exit interview process.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure continuous process improvement and standardization for all HR procedures and related policies.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement organizational training program to support employee development and retention and compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Coach, counsel and provide guidance to leadership on HR concerns.

\xc2\xb7 Support managers in coaching and significant staff concerns as a neutral and unbiased resource.

\xc2\xb7 Conduct investigations to follow-up with staff concerns or allegations as necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Represent the organization at hearings or other proceedings in the areas of civil rights, unemployment, workers compensation, and other employment related concerns.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and manage school contracts needed to deem PACE a student clinical site for multiple disciplines.

\xc2\xb7 Facilitate or serve on committees and work groups related to key responsibilities or as directed.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and present HR reports, data and analysis as directed.

\xc2\xb7 Abides by all established PACE of Southwest Michigan policies, rules, and regulations.

\xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned.

PM20 Requirements:

Specifications

Education: Bachelor\'s degree required, other human resources, health or business administration education preferred. Master\'s degree preferred. SPHR or SHRM SCP certification preferred.

Experience: 5 or more years\' experience in Human Resources Management, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Type of Employees Supervised: HR staff.

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid MI driver\'s license required.

Special Training: Only acts within the scope of his or her authority to practice. Meet a standardized set of orientation and/or individual competencies for the specific position description established by PACE and approved by CMS before working independently.

Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.

Specific Requirements and Considerations: May be subject to exposure and handling of infectious waste, diseases, conditions, or hazardous chemicals, etc., including potential exposure to TB, AIDS, and/or Hepatitis B.
