Role Overview



InStride\xe2\x80\x99s People and Talent (HR) team is passionate about our business, our partners, our culture, and most importantly our InStriders. We are looking for a thoughtful, optimistic and genuine Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP). This role will be responsible for supporting, coaching and building our People Managers by leading workforce development and best practices in our People processes. This position will play an important role in supporting People Managers and leaders with the execution of talent development, training, employee relations and performance management processes that will create an outstanding employee experience. We ask that you have a strong generalist background with in-depth knowledge of key HR and consultancy practices.

Responsibilities

  • InStrider First: Build strong internal relationships, serve as a trusted partner to build and guide InStride HR practices and processes from good to great.
  • Coach: Meet with business unit leaders on a recurring basis to understand business needs and provide coaching and guidance. Support leaders by developing their teams and management through L&D/training and performance practices.
  • Leading the Pack: Model our culture and behavior. Support and guide not only our People Managers but also peers and collaborators to up level our partnerships and impact.
  • Talent Development & Operations: Support our overall training, employee relations, development routines and strategy including performance reviews and engagement surveys. Partner with People & Talent leadership and People Operations Managers on training and development solutions.
  • Talent Management: Manage and resolve complex staff relations issues with People Managers. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations to provide sound guidance and next steps to ensure a strong workforce.
  • Forward-Looking: Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures and organizational planning.
  • Solution-Centric: Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the People & Talent leadership to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of dynamic People & Talent (HR) experience, with a background in consultative business partnering in a startup culture.
  • Strong business sense with an understanding of organizational design and/or engineering, talent development, employee relations, compensation practices, and the HR practices related.
  • Desire to make an impact and be a part of a dedicated group of people who learn from each other.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation while demonstrating collaboration, empathy and inclusion.
  • Ability to think strategically to improve existing processes, seek innovative solutions to problems, and ensure continued efficiency to drive performance, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information and other sensitive materials.
  • Natural curiosity and selfless drive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Our base compensation amount for this role is targeted at $94,000 - $141,000/yr. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
