BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



This position is classified as a Virginia High School League (VHSL) activity and, if selected for the assignment, the position

requires

completion of specific training as outlines by VHSL guidelines.


VHSL Coach/Sponsors are required to complete the Virgina High School League (VHSL) training

within one year of their first VHSL coachassignment with PWCS. Beyond the initial requirements

(years 2-10),

VHSL coach/sponsors a required to

annually

complete the

PWCS Coaches Essential Bundle,

which includes Concussion Training, and maintain current certification in

CPR/AED/First Aid.

Every 10 years

, all VHSL coaches/sponsors are required to recertify

all

mandated VHSL and PWCS training and certifications. This recertification must be completed after May 1st of the 10th year, but prior to the start of the 11th season.
