Human Resources Generalist



SUMMARY
The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings. We are looking for a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Sterling Heights, Michigan location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recordkeeping and file maintenance
• Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
• Assist with payroll duties
• Complete employee and payroll changes
• Union and analysis reporting
• Support Operations with any higher-level union issues
• Assist with PTO policies and tracking
• Handles unemployment claims, statements, etc.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Acts in accordance and enforces company policies and procedures
• 401K Plan Administration assistance
• Helps with company events
• Assist HR team in everyday responsibilities and administrative tasks
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of human resources
• Cooperate with Company executives in carrying out the objectives of the Organization.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 year experience in Human Resources position
• Knowledge using Paycor, Paychex, Fidelity or Employee Navigator
• Ability to work with multiple branches in different states
• Experience with handling over 100 employees
• College degree in Human Resources or related field of study
• SHRM or related certifications would be helpful.
• Skilled in Outlook and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as union contracts, work instructions, legal documents and manuals.

Days: Monday - Friday
Setting: Hybrid
