Job Description

Position Summary



The Human Resources & Administration Coordinator is a vital role that provides integrated support across HR functions and office management. This individual will be the go-to person for employee inquiries, will manage key HR processes, and will ensure the smooth daily operation of our LA office. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of California employment practices.

Human Resources:



Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: post jobs, screen resumes, schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, and prepare offer letters. Facilitate a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience for all employees. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (e.g., ADP, EHR). Support payroll processing by providing timely and accurate changes (new hires, terminations, leaves). Help coordinate performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California-specific regulations (e.g., CFRA, FEHA, Wage & Hour).

Office Administration:



Manage the front desk: greet visitors, answer main phone lines, and receive packages. Ensure the office is always clean, organized, stocked with supplies, and professionally presentable. Coordinate with vendors, building management, and IT support to resolve office issues. Organize company meetings, events, and team lunches. Manage office budgets and process invoices for administrative expenses. Provide administrative support to the leadership team as needed (scheduling, travel arrangements, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills



Required:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in an HR and/or Office Coordinator role. Solid understanding of HR principles and best practices, particularly within California. Impeccable organizational skills and acute attention to detail. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Bilingual, proficient in both English and Mandarin

Preferred:

Experience in a fast-paced startup or creative environment.
Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Ability to Relocate:

Culver City, CA 90230: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Work Location: In person
