Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or institutional environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive knowledge of cleaning standards and procedures. This role is vital in ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Previous hotel experience, janitorial expertise, and a background in industrial cleaning or custodial services are highly desirable. The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead a team of housekeeping staff, coordinate cleaning schedules, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations Oversee floor care operations including carpet cleaning, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage Develop and implement cleaning schedules to meet operational demands and guest expectations Address guest requests or complaints promptly to enhance overall satisfaction Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all areas Collaborate with management to develop budgets, set goals, and improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

Proven experience in housekeeping management within hotel or hospitality settings Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial practices Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team Familiarity with janitorial equipment and supplies management Experience with hospitality standards and customer service excellence Ability to conduct thorough inspections and enforce quality standards Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
