CROTHALL HEALTHCARE, INC. Environmental Services Hourly Associate Job Summary: Provides cleaning, floor care, moving, grounds and project services as directed by supervisor. Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures. 2. Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools. 3. Performs all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor. 4. Performs related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc. 5. Maintains high standards; works steadily at efficient pace; achieves high QA score. 6. Interacts hospitably, cheerfully and supportively with staff, patients, visitors and work colleagues. 7. Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean, orderly and good operating condition. Respects Hospital and Company property. 8. Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc. 9. Accepts suggestions and direction from supervisors and Hospital staff. 10. Honors department\xe2\x80\x99s attendance, break, behavior, dress and safety codes. 11. Accepts and absorbs Department and Hospital education program. 12. Exercises good judgment while working around patients and visitors. Remains professional at all times. 13. Takes initiative in rendering service or responding to needs. 14. Assists other associates as necessary. Responds to direction as provided. 1 Environmental Services Hourly Associate (Continued) Job Qualifications: Skills: One to two years as housekeeper or service worker preferred. Command of English strongly preferred. Education: High school diploma preferred. Physical Functions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment. Contacts: Department and Hospital staff, patients, visitors and general public. Environmental Conditions: Usually inside, well ventilated and lighted areas. Will use chemicals for housekeeping and project procedures. Advancement Opportunities: Lead, Training Sponsor, Supervisor.
