Rapid City Medical Center is seeking a part-time or full-time Optician to join our Eyewear Studio. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment. Experience preferred, but willing to train.
No holidays, no evenings, and no weekends required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Orders new/replacement frames and lenses based on prescription.
• Frame repairs and adjustments.
• Maintains, cleans and polishes frames and lenses.
• Instructs patients about contact lenses including how to handle, clean, insert and remove.
• Handles patient questions via phone and in person.
• Uses and maintains equipment and supplies appropriately.
• Follows HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
