Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and associates and to minimize opportunities for loss or damage. Anticipates potential problems and reacts to disturbances and prohibited conduct. Responds to emergency situations as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.) Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests\xe2\x80\x99 needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with all resort services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete awareness of: - Scheduled group activities and house count - Property facilities and services - Hours of operation - Facility layout - Fire and emergency plans - Departmental rules of conduct Verify and approve arrests, when necessary on the third shift by local police department, obtaining appropriate documentation. Notify property Assistant General Manager regarding any reports involving possible liability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Quickly and efficiently investigate the root causes of problems and provide immediate and permanent resolution in order to enhance our guests\xe2\x80\x99 satisfaction prior to departure. Identify and report any potential hazards ensuring they are corrected promptly. Write incident and accident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and associates, documenting all contacts. Manage all fire alarms and emergencies within the property. Legibly complete designated reports. Communicate by radio with designated resort personnel. Assume responsibility for radio and earpiece issued. Report to scenes of vehicles accidents/thefts and document specified information. Coordinate towing of vehicles, if necessary. Report to scenes of guest or associate fighting. Complete documented reports on theft, lost items, assault, alleged food poisoning and other guest complaints and include any law enforcement reports. Investigate suspicious persons on resort property, removing them or calling police for backup when necessary. Ensure all guest room doors are secured; assist guests with room access. Work with outside agencies (i.e., police) Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review property status and any follow up actions with on-coming ambassador staff. Ensure nightly security log is turned in daily to appropriate manager. Complete scheduled walks of the property consistently. Assist sick and injured guests and associates, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports. Assist in arrival area and PBX when other staff are working with guests. Assist with overnight Room Service orders as needed or necessary. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide interdepartmental assistance upon request to ensure optimum service to guests. Provide security service for banquet functions/meeting rooms. Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Engineering Department. Knowledge of surveillance system. Be able to help performing a public area job and ensure that all areas are clean at all times. Be able to help with laundry, wash, dry , and fold lien and terry for the property when need it.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is also expected to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas and have the ability to reach up to 36 inches. The employee must be able to remain in stationary position for 180 minutes/hours throughout work shift. The employee must be able to remain on their feet for the duration of their shift.
