We are looking for competent Security Officers to undertake the surveillance of our client\'s premises and protection of their staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. This position is stationed at the front entrance of a mental health medical facility and the security officer is responsible for checking visitors into the facility. The security officer will also assist medical staff in the event that an emergency should arise. The ideal Security officer candidate must be well-trained in surveillance and have great communication skills in dealing with difficult people. The officer will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation skills. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorize entrance of people into the facility
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need.
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
- Proven experience as security officer or guard
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Experience in surveillance systems
- Trained in First Aid/CPR
- Valid drivers license
- Life insurance
- 12 hour shift
- Night shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
- Security: 1 year (Preferred)
- Driver\'s License (Required)
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
