We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing multiple departments, optimizing revenue, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are maintained. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest relations and team communication. The Hotel General Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the property's reputation, managing staff, and driving overall success.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all hotel departments including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services to ensure seamless operations.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards aligned with brand guidelines and industry best practices.
Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize profitability through pricing, promotions, and occupancy optimization.
Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to foster a motivated team environment.
Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service, handling guest complaints effectively, and promoting positive guest relations.
Oversee the night audit process to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all hotel operations.
Utilize multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette to handle inquiries efficiently while promoting the hotel's services.
Coordinate with marketing teams to promote the resort or hotel offerings and enhance visibility in the marketplace.
Monitor budgets, control costs, and analyze financial reports to achieve operational goals.
Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality management roles with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams across multiple departments.
Extensive knowledge of hotel operations including front desk management, guest services, human resources, and revenue management.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control measures.
Familiarity with hospitality software systems including property management systems (PMS), multi-line phone systems, and night audit procedures.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly preferred to facilitate communication with diverse guests and staff.
Exceptional organizational skills combined with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
