Duties

Greet guests promptly with a friendly, energetic attitude, guiding them to their tables or seating areas. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring smooth flow during busy hours. Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu options, and special requests to enhance their experience. Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure timely seating and optimal guest flow, maintaining a lively and organized environment. Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about services, reservations, or event inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas to uphold high standards of hospitality.

Experience

Previous host/host experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are most important! Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests. Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Background in hospitality, hotel services, or guest relations enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with guests both in person and over the phone. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a lively and professional demeanor. Prior serving or food service experience helps in understanding restaurant operations and guest expectations. Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
