We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring excellent guest relations. This role is essential in providing a positive first impression and maintaining smooth seating operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a polished appearance. The Host/Host will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service and efficient management of seating arrangements.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences
Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, utilizing proper phone etiquette
Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest flow
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
Provide guests with menu information and assist with special requests when needed
Handle guest concerns or complaints tactfully to ensure satisfaction
Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects the hospitality standards of the establishment
Skills
Previous host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant settings
Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for representing the establishment's brand
Ability to handle phone inquiries professionally and courteously
Knowledge of serving protocols and guest engagement techniques
