Whitecrest Eatery - Stonington, CT

Whitecrest Eatery is seeking a friendly, organized, and guest-focused Host to join our front-of-house team. This role is key to creating a great first impression while helping keep service running smoothly, including managing takeout orders and operating our POS system.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow using Resy. Seat guests efficiently to support smooth service Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries Take and process takeout orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Operate thePOS system for dine-in and takeout orders Handle payments and basic cash handling as needed Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance

Qualifications:

Positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Previous hosting, restaurant, or POS experience preferred (training provided) Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
