Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival and provide them with a warm welcome. Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are filled efficiently. Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant. Assist guests with inquiries and special requests, ensuring their needs are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle guest relations with care, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. Familiarity with restaurant operations; previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred. Proficient in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.
