We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the overall flow of the restaurant or hospitality environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with excellent communication and guest relations skills.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Toast POS
Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously, ensuring guest satisfaction
Support guest check-in/check-out processes in hotel or hospitality settings when applicable
Skills
Previous Host/host experience preferred
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations
Experience in food service or restaurant environments is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiarity with POS systems such Toast POS is desirable
Hospitality experience, including hotel or guest services, is advantageous
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor at all times
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
