Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive first impression. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services and supporting the overall dining experience. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and a polished phone etiquette. The Host will work closely with the restaurant team to coordinate seating arrangements and guest flow, ensuring smooth operations during busy hours.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, answering any initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills Assist with maintaining a welcoming environment by providing guest services that enhance overall satisfaction Support the team during peak hours by managing seating arrangements and guest flow seamlessly

Skills

Previous Host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant settings Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in hotel guest services or hospitality industry is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor with strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of serving protocols and guest relations practices is beneficial
