Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued and comfortable upon arrival Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Toast POS ensuring accurate tracking of guest flow Escort guests to their tables promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant's offerings Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to coordinate seating arrangements and special requests Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest impressions Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservation details Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods to minimize wait times and maximize seating efficiency Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every visitor feels appreciated

Skills

Previous Host or host experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservations and check-ins Experience working in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest services standards Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills to create positive interactions at all touchpoints
