Overview

We just won Best Restaurant in Columbia, now we are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, hosting at Jazz, you are one of the most important members of our restaurant staff. You are the first and last impression the guest will have of the restaurant. Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. A passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills are essential to create a memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover. Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant services. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, providing solutions when necessary. Provide assistance in food service during peak hours as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in guest relations or hospitality is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. A background in food service or restaurant environments is beneficial. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
