The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. This position involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave
Manage reservations and waitlists accurately
Escort guests to tables and provide menus
Communicate wait times clearly and politely
Coordinate with servers and management to balance seating
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance area
Answer phone calls and respond to basic guest inquiries
Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly
Qualifications & Skills:
Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
Basic customer service experience preferred (but not always required)
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift light items such as menus or signage
Schedule:
Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
