Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in food service or hospitality. As the first point of contact, the Host plays a vital role in ensuring guests have a positive experience from the moment they arrive until they are seated or assisted. This position offers an opportunity to develop customer service skills within a dynamic restaurant or hospitality environment. This role pays $13 per hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and with professionalism to establish a positive first impression Effectively being able to manage the seating of guests in a very fast-paced environment Seating, bussing, and resetting tables in a timely manor Ability to manage to-go orders as well as answer the phone for call-in orders Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, utilizing POS systems such as Toast POS Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with courteous phone etiquette and excellent communication skills Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service Manage waitlists accurately using appropriate reservation management tools Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally Uphold hospitality standards to enhance overall guest experience

Experience

Prior experience as a Host/Server in food service is preferred but not required; hospitality or restaurant experience is a plus Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated professionalism in phone etiquette and guest interactions

Pay: $13.00 per hour
